The property began as a market garden with cut flowers, being open it was very windy so originally the Bamboo was introduced as an alternative windbreak. The drought resistant plant not only served to reduce the wind but also reduced the number of frosts creating an eco-friendly environment and became a wholistic Bamboo Experience.
In January 2000 the business was registered as Bamboo Creations and has been growing and operating in the scenic hills of Burringbar NSW beautifully nestled between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
At Bamboo Creations they like to believe that education and information allows people an understanding of the versatility of bamboo and what can be achieved by its many uses such as building ,construction, and whilst growing as an ornamentel living screen or hedge. With their long relationship with bamboo they have discovered that not only is bamboo a beautiful plant but is also fast growing and easily renewable. Not all Bamboo is created equal -they only use non-invasive varieties.
